The Demographic Dividend: Empowering 734 Million Innovators for Viksit Bharat 2047

India’s greatest asset is not its vast geography or its growing infrastructure—it is the 734 million individuals under the age of 30. This “demographic dividend” represents nearly 20% of the world’s total youth population. As we align our national efforts with the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision for Viksit Bharat 2047, the mission is clear: we must transform this massive demographic force from a “workforce of employees” into a “global workforce of innovators.”

Through the Viksit Bharat 2047 Development Forum, we are building a strategic ecosystem that treats youth empowerment not as a social welfare goal, but as a core economic driver.

The traditional mindset of seeking stable employment is no longer sufficient for a $30 trillion economy.

  • The “Innovator First” Mindset: We are advocating for a shift in the early education curriculum—integrating the principles of my Red Green Movement—to encourage students to identify societal problems and engineer sustainable, technological solutions.
  • Support for High-Impact Startups: Through international collaborations, such as our initiatives with the Royal Kingdom of Mazibuko and various African academic corridors, we are providing young Indian entrepreneurs with a global stage to scale their intellectual property.

In the era of Education 4.0, a degree is merely a starting point. To lead the world by 2047, our youth must achieve “Skill Sovereignty.”

  • Advanced ICT Literacy: Whether a youth is in a rural village or a metropolitan hub, they must have access to AI, blockchain, and high-end coding skills. This is the bridge that closes the rural-urban divide I have championed in my literary works.
  • Vocational Excellence: We are pushing for the “Internationalization of Skills,” where Indian vocational certifications are recognized globally, allowing our youth to dominate the international labor market in high-value technical sectors.

Youth empowerment is also about ethical leadership. The Red Green Movement teaches that progress (Red) must be balanced with social peace and environmental sustainability (Green).

  • Leadership Summits: Our recent GenNext Leadership Excellence Summit in Jaipur was designed to identify and nurture young leaders who prioritize the “Sone Ki Chidiya 2.0” philosophy—rebuilding India’s wealth through ethical, innovative, and peaceful means.
  • Global Exposure: By fostering diplomatic and academic ties with the Global South, we are ensuring our youth are “Global Citizens” who can navigate and lead international organizations.

The Prime Minister has rightly said, “This is the era of the youth.” To the 734 million young Indians, I say: you are the architects of 2047.

The Viksit Bharat 2047 Development Forum exists to provide you with the tools, the mentorship, and the global platforms you need.

Our goal is that by 2047, every major innovation in the world—be it in green energy, space exploration, or digital governance—will have an Indian name behind it. We are not just building a developed India; we are building a leading India.
