KNOWLEDGE CONSORTIUM

THE INDIA AFRICA ICT KNOWLEDGE CONSORTIUM

The India-Africa ICT Knowledge Consortium was proposed, accepted, and formed on 17th August 2017 by all of the Core Committee Members (Directors) of the Innovation Society (Delhi) and its sister companies, in consultation with the Founder Member and Originator and was launched during the summit held on 1-2 December 2017 at Hotel Ramada Central, Gurgaon in General Assembly
The India-Africa ICT Knowledge Consortium was formed to smoothly facilitate networking among ICT leaders and providers as well as consultants from Asian and African countries. It paves the way for business liaisons between both regions through information sharing and generating ideas that conquer ICT challenges. It provides a powerful impetus to mobilize Indian investors to invest strategically in the ICT sectors of African countries.

The objectives of the consortium are to promote research, enable networking, and expedite all activities that will support transformation of the ICT sectors of Asian and African countries, whilst fighting cyber crimes and supporting Indo-African ICT exchange programs. The India-Africa ICT Knowledge Consortium will carry out exchange programs for ICT scholars, ICT investors, and best ICT students. It will also annually organize an India-Africa ICT Best Students Conference in India in which students will visit ICT parks and ICT companies, as well as network and share ideas.

The vision of the India-Africa ICT Knowledge Consortium is to support the target laid by the Asia-Africa Growth Corridor (AAGC) framework for socio-economic connectivity between the two regions and thus, towards this end, the 2018 India Africa ICT Summit, Exhibition, and Directory has been scheduled. Socio-economic connectivity is possible with the effective utilization of information and communication technologies. This, in turn, is further fortified with the support of ICT vendors, ICT agencies/authorities, CEOs of major telecommunication companies and internet service providers, leading ICT investors, consultants, ICT lawyers/attorneys, ICT knowledge providers from academia, and the involvement of the ICT ministries of both the regions.
